Bob Hancock brings more than fifteen years of construction and construction management and another 20 years of experience guiding clients through high-stakes construction and commercial litigation, arbitration and transactional work such as construction contracts, subcontracts, master service agreements, etc. He represents owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, sureties, suppliers, design professionals, material providers, and insurers in a broad range of disputes, contract negotiations, construction defect claims, delay/acceleration and disruption claims, insurance coverage matters, OSHA matters, personal injury matters, and risk management. He also regularly serves as outside general counsel to clients navigating business and legal issues across multiple states and forums.
Bob has built a reputation as a trusted advocate in both the courtroom and the boardroom, with a particular focus on risk mitigation and dispute avoidance during the planning and execution of complex construction projects. His litigation, arbitration, and transactions practice spans local, state, and federal courts, as well as major domestic arbitration forums.
Before entering private practice, Bob gained valuable industry insight working in construction management on commercial, heavy highway, industrial power, petrochemical, and process projects both in the US and abroad. This hands-on experience continues to inform his approach and provides clients with practical, business-minded legal solutions that reflect deep industry knowledge.
