J.R. Schultz focuses his practice on defending large corporations in complex legal cases related to toxic torts, environmental issues, and product liability. He is experienced in both state and federal court and handles all aspects of litigation, from innovative motion practice and conducting and defending depositions to trial and appeal.
J.R. has worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the Missouri Attorney General civil litigation division. In this role, he defended various state departments, agencies, public employees, and agents in various state and federal actions. These actions included seeking declaratory relief, injunctive relief, and monetary damages.
J.R. also serves as a Reservist in the Judge Advocate General (“JAG”) Corps for the United States Army and Missouri National Guard.
