Pete’s transactional practice covers agreements of all kinds, from negotiating licensing and endorsement agreements on behalf of brands and creators, to advising entities on using and acquiring third-party IP rights.
Pete also handles contentious IP disputes for clients of all sizes, including numerous opposition and cancellation matters before the US Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, global enforcement and anti-counterfeiting actions, and federal litigation.
Pete began his career as a trademark examining attorney at the US Patent and Trademark Office. He is a frequent speaker on trademark law, branding, and best practices, and is ranked in the World Trademark Review 1000 - The World's Leading Trademark Professionals. He has served on INTA’s Right of Publicity committee, and as a member of the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association’s Intellectual Property Section.
